It was the dream of the first Bishop of Marthandam His Grace Most Rev. Lawrence Mar Ephraem, to establish and provide tertiary education for students who have completed Secondary education. Consequently, the Mar Ephraem College of Engineering and Technology was established in 2009 at Elavuvilai, Marthandam.
